During my manufacturing internship at Ferrara Candy Company, I upgraded production line sample-collection procedures and equipment to decrease the amount of heat-related injuries, created Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for metal detection testing, participated in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) investigations of packing machine abnormalities and hazards, and assisted in a multi-day shelf-life analysis of Nerds Gummy Clusters
The CVS QuickServe Dispensing System is a vitamin-dispensing system that utilizes disposable vitamin refill cartridges. The goal of this project was to modify the existing cartridge design to be refillable and to find alternative refill methods that can result in reduced plastic usage. To create the final concepts, I went through multiple stages of sketching and rapid prototyping and used SolidWorks and Keyshot.
Through How2Recycle, CVS aims to create a more sustainable product catalog by changing non-recyclable materials in their existing and upcoming products to recyclable materials. The goal of this project was to create exploded product renders to more easily explain product components and materials in presentations. To create the final renders, I used SolidWorks and Keyshot.
Through Northwestern University’s Design, Thinking, and Communication (DTC) course, my team was assigned to a client who wanted us to find a way to wash and drain rice without getting their hands wet. For our final prototype, we modified a food chopper using a laser cutter and mesh to add a draining feature.
Through Northwestern University’s Design, Thinking, and Communication (DTC) course, my team was assigned to a client who wanted us to find an easier way to bring laundry up and down multiple flights of stairs. Our final design concept consisted of a crank system with spaced carabiners.
As a personal project, I created ceramic desk organizers that fit the needs and desired aesthetic of my friends. After interviewing my friends on what items they need to organize and what colors and images they would like, I designed, sculpted, and glazed desk organizers around these preferences.
Here are some other creations I am proud of that use a variety of softwares and mediums, such as AutoCAD, ArtiosCAD, and Procreate.
